Remember when Obama’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the National Weather Service decided to buy millions of rounds of ammunition?
Now, DHS “wants to buy more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition in the next four or five years.” To put this in perspective, it’s been noted that “during the height of active battle operations in Iraq, U.S. soldiers used 5.5 million rounds of ammunition a month. Extrapolating the figures, the DHS has purchased enough bullets over the last 10 months to wage a full scale war for almost 30 years. Such massive quantities of ammo purchases have stoked fears that the agency is preparing for some kind of domestic unrest.” Even more problematic is the fact that Obama is disarming the American people while arming the federal government.
Update: DHS has also purchased 2,700 Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles (MRAP).
Update #2: What is going on!?! Not only is DHS refusing to answer Congress’ questions about the 2 billion rounds of ammunition it purchased over the past 10 months, but now DHS has “announced it plans to purchase another 360,000 rounds of hollow point ammunition” and it appears that hundreds of Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles are being moved across the country. Considering the fact the “right-wing extremists” that DHS is supposedly worried about have been entirely peaceful (in contrast to violent left-wing extremists) over the past 4 years, it’s clear that conservative radio talkshow host Mark Levin has given the only rational explanation for these recent events:
